Photography Around Swan Valley Idaho A beautiful spot for the early morning and late afternoon and maybe even a dip in the water! From here there are ample photo opportunities (see images below), but I usually aim to be up here after the sun has set behind the cliffs to give it that more moody emotive appearance. The only downside with Audrey Wilkinson is the view does attract big crowds and if you visit on a busy weekend it will be heaving. It really can be great for creating some highly emotive close up shots that will blow your mind. But it is way more than that. With the gorgeous Port Stephens water behind you in the distance, this place is just stunning. There is a huge array of chocolate which you can buy prepackaged or individually. For obvious reasons, this is one of my absolute, all time favourite engagement photoshoot locations around the Hunter Valley & Central Coast. Big Kookaburra. Located close to Broke on the traditional land of the Wonnarua people, is one of the most beautifully preserved Aboriginal rock arts sites close to Sydney. You can book online by clicking here. If you are feeling up for it, bring a picnic and meet there early, you wont regret it. The most famous vineyards are generally in Pokolbin, but there are huge numbers of less well known boutique options too. Its a little bit of a trek, but then again, nothing easy in life is worth doing (except ordering pizza onlineright?). Rustic barns, old 19th century homesteads, farm animals and gigantic fig trees. It literally takes about 30 minutes and is steep.

There is something a little magic about this location, that offers the space to run and play! I highly, highly recommend a 4WD for this one, even my Forester was a bit worrying. If you love a good sunset, this is probably a serious contender for best sunset due to the height you get up on the clifftops. Get a reflection off the pool as you and your partner sit on the steps and wrestle, or hell, even get on the starting blocks and get a sick shot of the two of you sitting on the blocks, from the other end of the pool. If you are after something special, not just a day, but rather an entire weekend, check them out. Probably a great spot to fly a drone and get some cool aerial footage or shots showing off the extremely vast landscape. Combining stunning European vibes with their property, and the amazing, lush bushland and forest surrounding, you can;t go wrong. Youve earned it! The Artists Palette is a geological formation of brightly colored rock thats been eroded into various shapes. Every course was amazing and as we were visiting in winter we got to enjoy the real fire. They were all good and its the only time Ive ever liked a brie! If you have a little extra time and are happy to add on another 40 minutes you can start your trip to the Hunter with a jaw dropping view over the valley. Having said that we still recommend a visit. In my opinion I like to do these in locations that summarise my clients as a couple. If you do venture out, it does make for some really spectacular panoramic shots out to sea. The same applies at Kurnell as does at Bombo Quarry about the lighting. If you dont want to do a proper tasting, but want to try a few before you buy, wed recommend heading to the Smelly Cheese Shop which is fab. Its on our list for one day! You absolutely cannot go wrong with an old fashioned, family owned pizza at Papadinos Pizza. A cactus covered section of the dunes, which is super fun to shoot in. Valley Photography For example, if you shoot in a dark forest, all white might look strange. When youre done there, head into the long grass fields and get some stunning golden hour photos with the sun spilling across the field. We tried 10 wines (the official tasting is usually a couple less, but if they have extra bottles open theyll bring them out too) and the whole experience is fantastic. We took a tour at one of our favourite wineries in the Hunter, Whispering Brook, which is a 20 minute drive from Pokolbin. Its the perfect size to explore on foot and youll probably spend longer than youd think wandering around, as its hard to resist heading into all the old buildings. The tops are just 1.5 hours north of Newcastle. Picnic in the vines. If you are into sandstone chapels (super cute by the way) and amazing vineyards perched on top a hill overlooking the rest of the Hunter, then Peppers needs to be on your list. So in Winter, I would start shooting here at 3.30pm, and in Summer, probably around 7pm. Very similar to Flat Rock which I will go into below. The expansive view is one of the very best in the area and the wines are also great. Once the sun peaks over the rocks however, you will be blasted by this golden orange hue that floods the area. Weve yet to experience this for ourselves, but we know people who have and say it is one of their favourite experiences in the Hunter Valley. Now you simply have to pick which location works best for you. Its easy because there are so many great locations nearby (and even a few further ones if you are up for a drive). WebHunter Valley Renewal in the vines Its one of the countrys pre-eminent wine This spot does require some climbing and trekking out over the rock platform, which at high tide do go under water. This place is another one of those, all in one places. We tried sparkling white and red, white, red and a desert wine. The Hunter Valley Gardens are the largest display gardens in Australia but theres a bit of a twist. You know where all the top spots are for your engagement photoshoot. Theres virtually no light pollution in the area and Ill never forget looking up and seeing the full milky way overhead. I am sure by now youve realised, it isnt as easy as you thought?
Death Valley The Convict Trail is a 4km walk which feels like an open air museum. In Lovedale they are almost always in the fields opposite the Crowne Plaza Hotel; in Pokolbin look at the fields along McDonalds Road and if you plan on visiting Wollombi we see them every time along the Yango Creek Road. Honestly, there are so many amazing places and angles to shoot here, plus, it backs up onto an epic rockpool and sandy beach, so take your pick! Well first and foremost, choose a photographer. 4. The wines are excellent, but they are at most vineyards in the Hunter, so we like to look for unique settings and for that Krinklewood wins hands down. That way you have a chance to start building that relationship with your photographer after having worked with them. Just have a look below and tell me Im not right. On either side of you, pristine ocean and cliffs. Our current fave is Tyrrells in Pokolbin.
